International 24/7 Prayer Week
A week of continuous prayer, "In the Name of Jesus," will take place in Latvia very soon, from September 6 to 13.
The continuous prayer organization 24-7prayer.com invites Christians of all denominations to unite in prayer in person at specially designated prayer locations, praying together with family, friends, fellow congregants, and Christian brothers and sisters from other denominations.
The theme of this year's Week of Prayer is based on Philippians 2:9–11:
“Therefore God also highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow—in heaven and on earth and under the earth—and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
By praying together, we wish to affirm that Jesus Christ is Lord over our land and the entire world . It will be an opportunity to pause in God’s presence, experience His presence, and pray together for our families, congregations, neighborhoods, cities, and people across Latvia.
How will it happen?
It will be possible to participate in the Week of Prayer both in person and remotely .
In person in Riga
A special prayer room will be set up at the Temple of Salvation (Pestīšanas Templis) at 117 Lāčplēša Street , accessible around the clock from September 6 to 13. There, visitors will be able to pray alone or with others, use prepared prayer materials and prayer stations, and devote time to praise and reflection on God's Word.
Remotely across Latvia
You will also be able to join in the prayer from home, your congregation, or any other location—individually, or together with your family or a prayer group. You will be able to choose a time that suits you, starting from half an hour or longer.

How to get involved?
We invite congregations, prayer groups, families, and every Christian in Latvia to be part of this week—by choosing a time for prayer, sharing the initiative with others, and praying for its progress.
Volunteers are also needed to help prepare prayer materials and prayer stations, set up the prayer room, and attend to order and hospitality during the week of prayer.
